Brillent Shop, Friendly staff. Moving in late July.

Absolutely horrible experience with a self obsessed manager at this store. She identified herself as Amber.I bought a steam mop in store about 10 days ago with cash, and had a receipt. It was delivered a few days later. It was emitting an unpleasant burning smell while using so decided to return it. Amber tried extremely hard to refuse a refund. She said I could not return it because I had used it. I explained I wouldnt have known it was a horrible smelling product unless I used it. I was at no point aggressive or abusive but was insistent I was not happy with the product, or her answers. She did not listen to a word I was saying and refused point blank to help in any way at all, and I believe I know why.About 10 months ago I returned a faulty blender which was leaking at the bottom rotary area. I cleaned the product but purposefully didnt clean the leaking area so I could show the staff at the store. It was another horrible experience where Amber wobbled over and claimed point blank I must have dropped the item to cause the leak. I was shocked how quickly she came up with a fantasy excuse just so she could save the store a refund. I stood firm and then she agreed to a refund, but only if I went home, cleaned the leaking area in this faulty product, and then returned it. I refused this childish demand and Amber eventually conceded a refund. (Amber claimed she wanted me to clean the product because she had rats in the store. Lady, no rat is going to come to lick out the bottom of your blender jug, if you have rats in your store then you have larger hygiene issues you need to deal with).I believe Amber remembered this event thats why she was so rude today. Her actions today were nothing to do with resolving the situation. Nothing to do with explaining the way the returns policy works. It was all to to with Ambers self image and self importance. She is a sad vengeful woman who deserves no place in customer service and dealing with people. Anyway to conclude I rang up customer services and they said they would collect this faulty/smelly item and issue a refund. Annoyingly I would have to attend the store again to collect my cash once authorised. Amber who was listening in on the conversation then threatened me that I could not come into this high street store to collect my refund. With Amber being larger than me in all dimensions, this was terrifying for me.This was an overall dreadful experience, with a horribe woman. Ive never experienced such miserly behaviour in any store, and I will not shop at Argos again. There are many better shopping alternatives out there whether be it Asda, John Lewis, and even Amazon.

To be totally honest I wonder why they bother keeping this place open. Every time you order anything it's not available or you have to wait until 4 o'clock to pick it up. Why not close it just have the branch at Wycombe Marsh.

It seems to be a relatively small place just off the high street, but does have a place out the back to pick up larger items if need be, although i have never seen it used. It also carries a large amount of items in stock or will get them here the next day. However this is not usually the case when i need things, giving the benefit of the doubt i may just want popular items or there is not a demand for the items i needed. My reason for a score of 3 is there is a bigger and better one not too far away if you are able to travel. London road and Aylesbury do have a wider choice of in-stock items and ample parking outside the store.

Photos attached with signs stating care for watches bought from anywhere. Two employees (one manager) stated they would only take 2 links out if I bought it from Argos. I stated as they advertised it they had to honour it by law. They "tried" and told me that the pins in the links were too "hard to remove"Well done Argos!
