Frustrating experience. Went for a bra fitting and was told there wasn't anyone in on a Sunday to do the fitting. Apparently I should take time off work to come in during the week when they ''might" have someone available. Small wonder high street stores are going out of business.
Good store but not really many bargains to be found. Well kept though.
This store used to be a fantastic location to shop, plenty of high quality merchandise. Pretty much everythign you need under one roof. I visited here again recently and it is a shadow of its former self. There were rails upon rails of clothes just flung onto the shop floor with no semblance of order. So many time items had massive "mega value" sales tag which are clearly from it's new owners other establishment. Though i would not want the store to close and hope stays hope so people stay in jobs. Yet it feels like this store is dying a slow and painful death. Once a graceful department store, now nothing more then a glorified branch of Sports Direct. Really sad to see.
Staff would rather hang around in groups, chatting than actually serve customers. Difficult to identify staff as most are dressed casually and don't appear interested in selling anything or helping anyone. This is the attitude that's killing the high street. Sale is chaos with many items untagged on sale rails that are full price at the till. Items in damaged packaging and incomplete sets still being sold at full price and items marked at 50% off are priced much higher.
Staff were friendly and attentive. Some stock lacking on department desks but given time of year that's understandable. Would recommend.
